On Deadlines and Retooled Folk Traditions...

Its a funny thing that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Yesterday I participated in a 'Nerd Knitting Circle'. The experience was not unlike a gaggle of Amish women making a quilt around some wood paneled kitchen table, quoting Bible verse to pass the time.

In our case, 6 of us were crammed into a bedroom with our backs to the center of the room, using photoshop instead of yarn, huddled hunch backed over our warm computer appliances, quoting LongHorn versus Tiger rumors.

I cant really say if quilting is a calming, life affirming experience or not, but I CAN at least confirm that knocking your friends out of about 60 photos is.........Not. Best I can say is, after a while my mind kind of went on auto-pilot while watching the polygon lasso tool slowly, yet exirabley, stitched its way around the silhouette of a guy flipping me the bird.
